the detail page provides a focused, single meter view with full filtering and breakdown options this is where you analyze usage patterns, investigate cost drivers, and drill into the exact values behind any spike choosing a meter use the “resource meter” dropdown to select the meter you want to analyze each meter measures one specific type of usage business unit view you can start by choosing zero or more business units on the dropdown if you do not choose any it defaults to data for all business units it will filter the data to include data only fo ryour selections additionally, you can choose between total across business units breakdown by business units if you choose breakdown, each business unit appears separately in the graph and table adding dimensions dimensions let you slice usage further examples include model, provider, key name, token type, and more there are two ways to use dimensions breakdown select a dimension without specifying a value the chart and table will show one line (or bar) per value of that dimension filter select a dimension and specify a value only that value will be included dimension values must match exactly if you are unsure which values exist, use breakdown first to see them you can combine multiple dimensions, and the table will show a row for every combination of selected values and breakdowns aggregation interval you can change how usage is grouped over time hourly daily weekly monthly daily is the default for long date ranges, weekly or monthly may be easier to read chart type the detail page supports multiple chart formats line chart (default) bar chart horizontal bar stacked bar choose the format that makes the most sense for the meter and filters you are using table view below the chart is a table showing the exact numeric values that correspond to the chart this table updates automatically as you change meters, date ranges, dimensions, and filters
